“Every canvas is a journey
all its own”
- Helen Frankenthaler

The splendor of nature has always lifted my spirit. It continues to be a major source of inspiration for me. I am drawn to the rhythms of nature, its ebbs and flows. Textures and patterns commonly found outdoors intrigue me.

I graduated from Emmanuel College in Boston with an Art degree and continued my studies at Lesley University in Boston where I received a master’s degree in Expressive Arts Therapy. Ever mindful of creativity and its innate capacity to foster self awareness and insight, I worked as an Expressive Arts Therapist in both a school setting and private practice until I retired. Now I spend my days creating art.

Expanding upon my Expressive Art training, I create intuitively, allowing each layer of collage, paint or marks to reveal what comes next on the canvas. I focus on building layer upon layer of marks, patterns, colors and shapes. I love to explore the depth of the layers and how they interplay, overlap, join and transform each other. I trust that my expressive reaction to the different layers will lead me to a meaningful painting.
